What visitors mention
Marshi's Kitchen sits on the main drag at 49 Mount Barker Road in Stirling, a bright, Sri Lankan-inspired cafe in the heart of the Adelaide Hills. For dog owners the draw is simple: the outdoor frontage seating lets you park up with your dog beside you while you work through a plate of the fusion brunch this place is known for.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor alfresco and footpath tables, not inside. That is the norm across the Hills, where council rules keep dogs out of indoor dining areas, so plan to sit out front. Staff will usually sort a water bowl, but a collapsible travel bowl is worth packing for the busy weekend rush.
Good to know. The kitchen runs a full-day menu from 7:30am to 2:30pm, plus dinner on Friday and Saturday from 5pm. The lamb roti and the Sri Lankan-inspired curries are the standouts that regulars come back for. It gets genuinely busy on weekend mornings, so the calmer outdoor tables can fill fast.
Getting there and parking. Street parking runs along Mount Barker Road but turns over slowly at peak brunch times. There are public car parks a short walk behind the main street if the front is full. From the Adelaide CBD it is roughly a 15 to 20 minute run up the M1.
Nearby with the dog. Stirling's main street is wide-footpathed and easy for a post-breakfast leash walk. For a proper run, Wright Road Fenced Dog Park is a couple of minutes north. If it is gelato weather, La Viennese is a short stroll along the same street and does a dog gelato.
When to go. Weekday mornings or early on weekends if you want an outdoor table without the wait. Good for a social dog who is happy to settle at your feet while you eat.
