Cafe Del Sol is a converted caravan cafe right on the Safety Beach foreshore, a relaxed stop for coffee and toasties with your dog beside you rather than tied up out front.

The dog setup. Outdoor seating at casual benches and tables next to the caravan is dog-friendly, with the sea breeze and Bay Trail traffic passing by. Dogs should stay on lead while at the cafe. Water bowls are often out given the foot traffic from the trail, but bring your own bowl to be safe.

Getting there. 81 Marine Drive, Safety Beach. Free parking is available in the public car parks along Marine Drive, behind the caravan, or in the surrounding streets. It's also directly accessible from the Coastal Walkway if you're already out on foot.

Nearby with the dogs. The Safety Beach foreshore is a short walk away, though summer on-leash rules and time restrictions apply, so check before you let your dog off lead. The Bay Trail runs right past the door for a longer walk, and Dromana Beach is close by if you want to extend the outing.

When to go. Mornings suit it best, before the trail gets busy with cyclists. Good for a quick coffee stop mid-walk rather than a long sit-down visit.
