LUXE Rosebery

LUXE Rosebery is a cafe and bakery at 19 Rosebery Avenue, inside The Cannery precinct in Sydney's inner south. It is run by a team with a combined 30 years in hospitality across Sydney and Ireland, and the menu leans towards proper breakfast and lunch: poached eggs, bacon and egg rolls, almond croissants, banana bread and a hot chocolate regulars rate. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it an easy stop on a Cannery morning.

Where the dog goes

Set up at the outdoor seating. The Cannery allows dogs in its common outdoor and courtyard areas, and LUXE's own tables out front are where canine visitors sit. Inside is off-limits under standard NSW food rules. Keep your dog leashed and close to the table rather than roaming between neighbouring terraces, and off the chairs. Water is generally available if you ask the staff. Mid-morning on a weekday is the calm window; the precinct gets very busy on weekends, so go early if your dog prefers space.

Worth knowing

Doors open at 7am daily and the kitchen wraps early afternoon, so it suits the post-walk breakfast crowd rather than late lunch. The Cannery itself trades longer, around 7:30am to 9:30pm, so the courtyards stay active into the evening even after the cafe closes. Order online ahead if you are timing a park stop and want the food ready.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits inside The Cannery at 61 Mentmore Avenue, with vehicle entry off Rosebery Avenue. The precinct has its own car park, and street parking on the surrounding blocks is limited at peak times. Buses along Gardeners Road stop a short walk away.
