The Coffee Chest is a small, welcoming cafe on Burke St in Rangeville, attached to The Linen Chest boutique, open weekday and Saturday mornings only. The drawcard for dog owners is the sunny courtyard, where dogs are free to settle at your feet while you work through a long black and a toastie.

Dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor courtyard seating, not indoors. There is no fee for bringing a dog. Staff are known for being friendly to pets, though it is worth bringing your own water bowl and lead just in case rather than assuming bowls are out.

Known for. Puncheur coffee roasted in the Noosa hinterland, homemade toasties and cakes, and a quiet, personal service that regulars come back for. It is a small space, so expect a relaxed rather than buzzing atmosphere.

Getting there and parking. The cafe is at 1A Burke St, Rangeville, in a quiet residential pocket of Toowoomba. Free street parking is available directly out front.

Nearby with the dogs. Picnic Point Parklands is a two to three minute drive away with walking trails and wide green space for a stretch afterwards, and Rangeville Park is close by for a shorter leg-stretch.

Go on a weekday morning if you want the courtyard to yourself, and check opening hours before heading over as the cafe is closed Sundays.
