Salty Crew Kiosk

Salty Crew Kiosk sits inside Town Beach Reserve on Elliott Way, a few steps from the sand, and it opens at 6am every day of the week. That early start is the whole appeal: you can walk the dog along the beach at first light, watch the sun come up over the water, and be holding an acai bowl or a flat white before most of the town has stirred.

Dogs at the kiosk

According to visitors, dogs are welcome at the outdoor beachside seating, where water bowls and shade are available for four legged customers. It is a regular stop on the local dog walking circuit, so do not be surprised to find a small pack of regulars hanging around the tables most mornings. The footpath between the kiosk and the reserve stays busy with prams and runners, so keep your dog tucked in close while you order.

The counter is classic beach kiosk done well: acai bowls, banana bread, smashed avo on toast and the coffee you would hope for at 6am by the sea. Order at the window and take a table facing the water, or grab takeaway and eat down on the sand with the leash on.

Worth knowing

It is a small operation, and on summer weekends the queue can run long once the surf crowd arrives. Early is genuinely early here: by 8am the easy tables are gone. The kiosk trade suits dogs, but there is no fenced area as such, so this is a leash and settle spot rather than a run around.

Getting there and parking

Town Beach Reserve has parking at the reserve, and the kiosk is at Unit 1, 15 Elliott Way. It is a short drive from the Port Macquarie town centre along the coastal side.
