Eccomi

Eccomi is an all-day Italian bar, bottega and cafe in the Norwood Place arcade at 161 The Parade, from the founder of CIBO. The draw is house-made Italian fare: pastries and piadina in the morning, arancini, lasagna and pizza by the slice through the day, cannoli whenever willpower fails, plus spritzes and wines by the glass into the evening.

The dog setup is the outdoor tables in front of the venue facing The Parade, and dogs are welcome in the arcade area too. Indoors is off limits, which is fair enough given the deli display running the length of the room. Bring a portable water bowl, because every table having one is not a given on a busy Parade strip.

The vibe

Doors open at 7:30am every day, so it works as an espresso stop, a long lunch or an evening aperitivo, and the closing time varies by day of the week, with late trade into the night Thursday to Saturday. Check the site before a late visit. Sunday wraps at 5pm. Off-peak, the outdoor tables are the comfortable spot to settle a dog: aim for mid-morning or mid-afternoon to dodge the breakfast and lunch rushes.

Norwood Place has undercover and open-air parking, and buses run along The Parade if you would rather not drive. For a proper leg stretch, the Hannaford Reserve at St Peters is a short hop toward the river with room for an off-leash run, and the RUNHÔUSE around the corner is another Norwood option if Eccomi's tables are full.
