Millers Espresso

Millers Espresso is a small neighbourhood cafe on Railway Street in the heart of Mudgeeraba village, pouring Allpress coffee and serving big-value breakfast plates to a loyal local crowd. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, and the front deck is the reason dog owners keep it on their circuit.

Dogs are allowed outside, and the expansive front deck is the outdoor area - partly shaded, with room to settle your dog beside the table. Water bowls are usually offered and the team is friendly with dogs. As with any cafe serving food, dogs stay on the deck rather than indoors, so this is a fine-weather option; for a hot hinterland morning it pays to grab a shaded spot early.

Worth knowing

The reputation here is built on huge portions and value - the bacon and eggs and the cinnamon rolls come up again and again - with a friendly team that keeps things moving despite the occasional wait at peak hours. The vibe is village-casual, the sort of spot where solo regulars and laptop workers outnumber tourists. Hours run 6am to 1pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 11am Saturday; it closes on Sundays, so plan your dog's Sunday-morning social elsewhere.

Mudgeeraba village sits just off the Pacific Motorway between Robina and Nerang, with easy parking on the surrounding streets. The big local draw for dogs is the fenced off-lead area at Hinterland Regional Park, with agility gear and bush tracks on the Hardys Road side of the suburb - do the park first, then coffee.
