Retro Roast Coffee Van

A retro caravan parked in a rural paddock at 161 Cordeaux Road, Mount Kembla, pouring Seven Miles coffee and gourmet toasties from 7 am to 1 pm, seven days a week. The open-air, bushland setting is the draw: you sit outside with your dog and take in the foothills atmosphere.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area surrounding the van. Keep your dog on a lead, as the space is open and borders a shared pathway. Bring your own water bowl, as the venue does not confirm providing one.

Good to know. Retro Roast brews the Gusto blend from Seven Miles Coffee Roasters, using Kangen Water, and serves sweet and savoury croissants, cakes, and cookies. It sits opposite the Memorial Pathway entrance and draws hikers, cyclists, and locals. Free street parking is available on site, roughly 15 minutes from Wollongong.

Make a day of it. Pair your coffee run with a proper off-leash run at Coniston Dog Beach, or head to Figtree Off Leash Dog Area for open-space exercise nearby.

Arrive early on weekends. The van is a popular trailhead stop for hikers and cyclists, so the seating area fills quickly after 9 am.
