Amio Cafe

Amio Cafe sits on Lavender Street at Milsons Point, a short walk down from the Harbour Bridge's northern pylon, and it is one of the few cafes in this pocket that trades a full day: 7am to 7pm, every day of the week. The coffee is Ona roasted, the matcha draws a steady line of regulars, and the menu stretches from croissants at breakfast through to Vietnamese style egg coffee and a banana pudding that has built its own following. The terrace looks towards the bridge, and the view does half the marketing on its own.

Dogs are explicitly invited rather than merely tolerated: the cafe's own Instagram has put out the call for dogs to join their owners in the outdoor seating, which makes this one of the more reliable dog stops on the lower north shore. Because the invitation comes from the venue's own social channels, treat the outdoor area as the dog zone, keep your dog leashed and settled, and expect the afternoon window to be busier than the morning one.

Reviewers are consistent about the welcome from staff, and the all day hours change how you can use the place. Early mornings are quiet and best for a calm coffee with the dog, while the late afternoon fills with people heading home over the bridge. Street and station parking nearby is typical North Sydney: tight at peak, easier on weekends.

A Lavender Street stop links neatly into the harbourside walking around the bridge's northern end, all on the lead.
