Aviator's Cafe sits inside the Royal Aero Club of WA at Jandakot Airport, where the draw is the runway. It is a casual breakfast-and-lunch spot with a front-row view of light aircraft taking off, and dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio while you watch.

Nearby with the dogs. Robert J Cross Park, a short walk away on Eagle Drive, is a public viewing area where you can keep watching aircraft on foot with your dog. Yarra Vista Fenced Dog Park is also a short drive away if your dog needs a proper off-leash run after breakfast.

When to go. Weekday mornings are quieter if you want a relaxed coffee with a view; weekends bring more families and more plane traffic to watch. Confirm current opening hours and the patio dog policy before you head out, as cafe rules can change.
