BeastieMonk is a part-cafe, part-vintage-store on the edge of the Ipswich CBD at 2 East Street, and it actively welcomes dogs in its casual outdoor and courtyard seating.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor and courtyard-style seating, with plenty of room to settle while you sip and browse. Water bowls are provided, though it is worth carrying your own treats. Keep your dog on a lead, especially as the venue doubles as a shop with plants and retail to navigate.

Good to know. Expect quality coffee in an eclectic, relaxed setting, with vintage clothing, gifts, plants and board games alongside the menu. Opening hours are limited, so check before you go: Friday evenings 4:30pm to 8:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 3pm.

Getting there. The cafe sits on the corner of East and Bremer Streets. Both free street parking and on-site parking are available.

Nearby with the dogs. Queens Park is a short trip away for lawns, gardens and an off-leash area. River Heart Parklands along the Bremer River has dog-friendly tracks, boardwalks and grassy picnic spots.

Weekends are the main window given the limited hours. Good for a relaxed dog that is happy to lounge while you browse the store.
