Sushipresso

Sushipresso is a sushi-and-coffee counter in Winyu House at 1/125 Gungahlin Place, in the middle of the Gungahlin town centre, and the outdoor patio takes dogs. It is an unusual combination done well: hand-rolled jumbo sushi rolls made fresh daily alongside barista coffee, which makes it a handy quick stop when you are already in town with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio seating, leashed, with enough space to tuck a dog in beside the table. Indoor dining is off limits per standard ACT food rules, so the patio is the option. Staff have a friendly reputation with regulars' dogs, but there is no confirmed water bowl station, so a collapsible bowl is a smart addition on warm days.

The vibe and the menu

The draw is fresh jumbo rolls, think salmon and avocado or California, plus donburi rice bowls, wellness bowls and eggs benedict at breakfast, all washed down with proper coffee. Rolls are made daily and tend to sell through the afternoon, so earlier is better for the full range. Hours are 7am to 4pm weekdays and 8am to 2pm weekends, and a weekday late morning is the quietest window for a patio table.

Getting there and parking

Sushipresso sits on Gungahlin Place near the Gungahlin Library, a short walk from the Gungahlin Place light rail stop. Free street parking circulates around the town centre, and the Marketplace undercover car park is close by.

While you're out there

For a proper walk with the dog, the Yerrabi Pond Loop is the local lakeside circuit and Franklin Dog Park is the fenced run nearby. Caffe al Lago sits out on the water if you want to make it a full morning.
