Periscope Cafe

Periscope Cafe sits right on the marina at Port Geographe, at 3/19-21 Spinnaker Boulevard in Geographe, and it gives dog owners something rare on this coast: covered outdoor seating with water views. The paved, plant-lined walkway out front takes leashed dogs, and the marina setting does the scenery work for you.

The dog setup

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the outdoor seating area, and staff are friendly and accommodating toward dog owners. Water bowls and treats are not a confirmed part of the setup, so bring your own bowl. The cover over the walkway is the practical win: it keeps the table usable in cooler or drizzly weather when most outdoor dog-friendly spots lose their appeal.

The menu

The kitchen turns out gourmet toasties, fresh sandwiches, bacon and egg rolls, eggs benedict and nasi goreng, all washed down with locally roasted Margaret River coffee. The cafe doubles as a convenience stop stocking basics like milk, bread and eggs, which is handy if you are staying at the marina. It opens seven days, 7am to 1pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and 7am to 3pm Wednesday through Sunday.

Getting there and parking

Free on-site parking sits at the marina, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Geographe is a few minutes west of Busselton, so it is an easy detour on the way to the bay beaches.

Close by with the dogs

The Geographe Bay foreshore suits an on-lead walk either side of breakfast, and the calmer pockets of bay water make easy paddling where dogs are permitted.
