Orchid Co Coffee shop sits at 26 Garden Street in Geelong, more or less opposite the Geelong Botanic Gardens, in a historic building with a small but devoted local following. It is a genuine dog-walker stop: dogs are welcome on the undercover decking out front, and the gardens and Eastern Park are across the road for the walk part of the morning.

Hours run 7am to 2pm weekdays and 8am to 2pm weekends, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch window rather than an all-day option. Mornings are the calm time before the weekend crowd builds.

Getting there and parking

Garden Street is easy to reach from the Geelong end of town, with free street parking usually findable nearby. The natural loop is coffee first, then the Botanic Gardens' quiet on-leash paths, with Eastern Park opening up a longer walk beyond. WYM Cafe at the gardens entrance on Eastern Park Circuit is the other obvious dog-friendly stop, and the Barwon River trail is a short drive south for a bigger walk.
