Daisies

Daisies is a corner cafe and deli on Marmion Street, a short walk from Cottesloe Beach, with a big shaded outdoor area under the trees that makes it one of the easier coffee stops in the western suburbs to bring a dog to.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating at the front of the cafe under the trees, with water bowls put out as standard. Ordering and the indoor seating stay dog-free, but there is plenty of shaded table space outside. Keep your dog leashed and settled, because the cafe gets busy through the morning. Doors open early, 6am weekdays and 6.30am weekends, and the kitchen runs through to 4pm.

Pepsi: beach walk first, then the shaded tables by 8am. The water bowl is already out and nobody minds a sandy dog.

The vibe

Daisies is known for its coffee, smashed avo and acai bowls, plus pies, sausage rolls and banana bread from the cabinet if you want something heartier. It draws a steady local crowd, so weekday mornings are the calm window; weekends crowd fast and outdoor tables can mean a wait.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on the corner of Marmion Street and Grant Street, with free street parking nearby that fills on weekends. Grant Street train station is a short walk away, which makes an easy arrival on the Fremantle line if you are walking the dog in from further along the coast.

Close by with the dogs

Cottesloe Beach and the dog-friendly stretch near the Grant Street end are minutes away on foot, and the Lake Claremont Dog Agility Area is a short drive inland for off-lead play. If Daisies is packed, John Street Cafe is the other reliable dog-friendly table in the suburb.
