DOGLATERIA BONDI

Doglateria Bondi is a dog-first treat bar at 82 Bronte Road, Bondi Junction, pairing Italian gelato and Colombian coffee for owners with lactose-free Doglato made for the dogs themselves. It is less a cafe you bring a dog to and more a cafe built around the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are genuinely welcome here rather than merely tolerated, with staff set up to serve them directly: scoops of Doglato priced by the scoop, water available for the asking, and a doggy high tea option for two dogs to share. Seating is casual indoor-out, so it works in both directions, and it is fundamentally a treat stop rather than a full sit-down meal venue.

Worth knowing

The Doglato flavours are the drawcard: peanut butter and honey, mango and carrot, strawberry and banana, all made with natural, human-grade ingredients rather than fillers. Humans get Italian gelato and coffee while the dogs get their own. Freeze-dried Australian-made dog treats and bars are sold alongside, so it doubles as a place to stock up. Doors open 9am to 5pm daily.

Getting there and parking

It is a short walk from Bondi Junction station and the bus interchange. Street parking exists on Bronte Road and the surrounding residential streets but gets tight, so factor in a walk if you are driving at busy times. A scoop here slots neatly into a coastal day: the Bondi to Maroubra Coastal Walk is the big one nearby, and Bellagio Cafe in Waverley covers the proper-breakfast end of the outing. Travelling with the dog, The Bungalows at Bondi is minutes away.
