Arise

Arise is a modern, casual cafe at Shop 5, 1A Glanmire Road in Baulkham Hills, built around consistently good coffee and a solid brunch menu, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables. It is an easy coffee stop with the dog in tow before or after a loop of the nearby reserves.

The dog setup

Dogs stay in the outdoor seating out front, on the flat pavement and courtyard area with easy street-level access. Staff are friendly about canine visitors, but there is no mention of dog water or treats laid on, so bring a portable bowl. The tables sit close to the car park entrance, so keep the lead short while people pass through.

The vibe and the menu

The draw is well-made coffee alongside brunch and lunch: wraps, sandwiches, acai bowls, avo toast and small plates, plus masala chai and matcha for the non-coffee drinkers and a changing board of chef specials. It opens seven days, 6am to 4pm on weekdays and 7am to 3pm on weekends, which makes an early coffee before work or a late-morning weekend brunch both workable.

Getting there and parking

There is a free on-site car park plus free street parking, and local buses run along Windsor Road and Glanmire Road. Grab an outdoor table off-peak if you want room for the dog, then walk it off at the fenced run at Crestwood Reserve or Balcombe Heights Reserve, both a short drive away.
