Arch View Cafe sits on Sturt Street in Alfredton, right opposite the Arch of Victory, and welcomes leashed dogs in its large covered outdoor dining area. It is a solid pick for a coffee stop before or after a walk along the Avenue of Honour.

Nearby with the dogs. The Avenue of Honour and Arch of Victory are directly across the road and make for a shady on-leash walk under the historic oaks. Lake Wendouree, a few minutes east by car, has a popular dog-friendly loop track if you want to make a longer outing of it.

Go for a mid-morning coffee on a weekday if you want the outdoor tables to yourself, since the space fills up on weekends when the cafe is open until early afternoon.
