Saint Aidan Wines

Saint Aidan Wines is a family-owned vineyard and boutique cellar door restaurant in the Ferguson Valley, open Wednesday to Sunday for wine tasting and long lunches on the patio. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor lawn and courtyard, though shire health rules keep them out of the restaurant itself.

Known for. Estate-grown boutique wines including Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot and Fiano, a highly rated restaurant doing long lunches overlooking the vines, and a popular pick for weddings and functions on weekends.

Getting there. The cellar door sits on Ferguson Road in the heart of the valley, roughly 20 to 25 minutes from Bunbury. On-site gravel parking is right by the cellar door entrance.

Nearby with the dogs. Ferguson Falls Wines Cafe is close by and also dog-friendly on its lawn, known for wood-fired pizza. Dardanup Conservation Park is a short drive for a scenic leashed walk, and Green Door Wines and the Mt Lennard trails along Pile Road are both within easy reach if you want to turn it into a valley day trip.

When to go. Weekday lunches are quieter and give the lawn and courtyard more breathing room. Weekends bring functions and bigger crowds, so confirm dogs are still welcome on the day if a wedding or event is on.
