Bent Road Winery & Distillery

Bent Road Winery & Distillery is a boutique cellar door at 15 Gianini Lane, Ballandean, making small-batch wine and craft spirits under the one roof. It is a relaxed, rustic stop where dogs are welcome in the outdoor spaces, and the tasting comes to you, so nobody waits in the car.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on lead in the outdoor seating areas, lawns and gardens; the indoor tasting space is not open to them. The practical part is that tastings can be served on the deck, so you can work through wine and spirits without leaving your dog. Shade and dedicated pet facilities are limited when it is busy, so bring a portable water bowl and pick a milder day if you can.

The draw is variety under one label structure: wines under La Petite Mort and Wilhelm Scream, spirits distilled on site, and the Squeaking Lizard range often made with low or no preservatives. Gianini Lane sits among the Ballandean vineyard blocks on the Granite Belt, a short drive from the New England Highway turn-off, with signage out front and on-site parking at the door. Stanthorpe is the nearest supply town for anything you forgot.
