Pet policy
Dogs on lead on the foreshore shared path unless signed otherwise (City of Port Adelaide Enfield).
The Taperoo Foreshore runs along Lady Gowrie Drive, with a paved shared path and wide views over the gulf. It is an easy seaside walk with your dog on lead.
The walk
The shared path is part of the longer coastal walking and cycling trail, so you can walk as far as you like and turn back. It is smooth and flat, good for prams and older dogs.
Lead rules
The City of Port Adelaide Enfield manages the foreshore. Keep your dog on lead on the path unless a sign says otherwise, and watch for bikes.
There is a dog bag station on site, plus car parking with accessible spaces along Lady Gowrie Drive.
Max: Bikes share this path. Keep your dog on the left and the lead short.
Make a day of it
Keep going on the Semaphore to Fort Largs Beach Walk, or grab a coffee at Ink Espresso @ The Fort.
Shade is limited, so go early on hot days and bring water for the dog.
