Lead rules
Dogs must be on lead in public reserves unless an area is gazetted for dog exercise. They are not allowed on the playing surface while it is in use, being maintained or mowed, and must stay clear of playground equipment.
The walk
A lap of the oval edge is easy and flat. Tracks nearby run on gravel, earth and bitumen through Wandoo and Marri woodland and past remnants of the old Eastern Railway, part of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail network.
There is parking near the Sawyers Valley Hall and partial shade at the edges. No dog water is listed, so bring a bowl.
Who it suits
Dogs who like a quiet semi-rural walk with the option of heading onto the heritage trail for longer.
