Pasterfield Sports Complex Walking Path

Wide concrete paths loop around the playing fields, skate park and courts at the Pasterfield Sports Complex on Horizon Avenue. It is an easy on-lead walk for Cameron Park locals who want flat ground and plenty to look at.

Lead rules

Lake Macquarie City Council treats the paths and surrounding open space as on-lead. Keep off the sportsgrounds while games or training are on, and stay at least 10 metres from the children's playground.

The walk

The loop path and connecting tracks pass an inclusive playground, the skate park, multi-sport courts and open green fields. The paths are wide enough to pass prams and bikes without fuss.

Shade sails and picnic shelters cover the playground area, but much of the path runs in the open. There are drinking bubblers and bins around the complex, and free parking off Horizon Avenue.

Pepsi: There are bubblers on site, but a collapsible bowl makes sharing the water a lot easier.

Make a day of it

For something greener, the Cameron Park Wetlands Walk is close by. Village Coffee Hub is the local coffee stop.

The flat concrete suits older dogs and anyone walking with a pram. In summer, finish near the playground shade sails for a breather.
