Les Lilleyman Reserve

Les Lilleyman Reserve on Gill Street in North Perth is a neighbourhood sportsground where dogs can run off lead whenever the oval is not booked.

Leads and sport

The City of Vincent lists it as an approved dog exercise area. Off lead is allowed across the grounds when there is no club sport, school use or community event.

When a booking is on, off-lead use shrinks to the southern side nearest Gill Street, so read the signs.

What it is like

This is an open grass oval with cricket wickets and floodlights, ringed by mature trees, not a long walking track.

A fully fenced playground keeps children apart from the dogs, and there are benches, a picnic table and toilets with limited hours.

Water and parking

A drinking fountain has a low dog bowl and a bottle refill spout. Parking is at the Gill Street car park, across the road.

Make a day of it

Coffee is close at Stomp Coffee or Angove Kitchen and Espresso Bar.

Check for bookings before you go, since a free oval is the whole point. The shade around the edge helps in summer.
