Riverside Gardens Foreshore

Locals know this stretch of the Serpentine River in Greenfields as Riverside Gardens Foreshore, off Redcliffe Road in Mandurah. It is a quiet, on-lead riverside walk, calmer than the busy beaches and town foreshore.

Lead rules

The City of Mandurah manages the foreshore. Dogs are welcome on-leash on the reserve and its paths unless a spot is signed otherwise.

The walk

Connected concrete paths follow the river past native trees and the all-abilities paddle launch, where you may see kayakers heading out. Riverside vegetation gives moderate shade, with some open grassy patches.

Dog water points are sparse and bins are limited, so bring water and be ready to carry waste to a street bin. Parking is street-side near the access points.

Max: Watch for snakes near long grass in the warmer months, and expect mosquitoes on humid days.
