Gladstone Ports Corporation Marina Parklands

The Marina Parklands put a wide, flat waterfront walk right beside Gladstone's moored yachts and harbour views. Dogs can come along on lead, with only the playgrounds off limits.

Who sets the rules

Gladstone Ports Corporation manages the parklands, not the council. Keep your dog leashed at all times, and stay out of playground footprints and the East Shores Water Play Park.

The walk

Paths are paved asphalt and concrete, wide and flat enough for prams, wheelchairs and dogs of every age. The route links into the wider waterfront network toward Spinnaker Park, so you can stretch it out.

Water, bins and shade

Drinking fountains are spread through the precinct, and waste stations with free dog bags are common. Sheltered seats and picnic shelters break up the walk, though some lawn and path stretches are in full sun.

There is ample public parking next to the marina.

Pepsi: Bring a bowl anyway. The fountains are handy, but a quick drink on a sunny stretch keeps the walk going.
