Geographe Foreshore Shared Path

The foreshore shared path at Geographe hugs Geographe Bay, part of the longer coastal link between Busselton and Dunsborough. It is flat, paved and on-lead, with calm turquoise water beside you most of the way.

Lead rules

The City of Busselton requires dogs to be on-leash at all times on its footpaths and shared paths, this one included. Some nearby beaches carry their own seasonal or off-leash rules, so read the signs before stepping onto the sand.

The walk

The path is mostly asphalt and concrete, and it runs past coastal bush, swimming beaches and small parks. The even grade makes it a good fit for senior dogs, puppies and anyone pushing a pram.

Peppermint trees and shelters give some shade, but long sections are open to the sun. Bins are placed regularly, while fountains with dog bowls are sparse, so carry water and a bowl.

Free parking sits at street ends and beach accesses along Geographe Bay Road.
