East Shores Precinct

East Shores is Gladstone's waterfront parkland on Flinders Parade, with flat paved paths, harbour views and ships coming and going. Dogs are allowed on a lead at all times.

Where dogs are welcome

Gladstone Ports Corporation manages the parklands. Dogs are not allowed in the playgrounds, the East Shores water play park or the outdoor cinema area, so plan a route around them.

The walk

Wide concrete and asphalt paths run along the water and link through to Spinnaker Park, making it easy to stretch the walk. The lawns are well kept and the harbour breeze helps on warm days.

Bubblers with low dog bowls, bins and bag dispensers are placed around the parklands. Shade structures, picnic shelters and trees line the paths, with some open waterfront sections.

Make a day of it

Carry on into Spinnaker Park for more paths and wetland, then grab a coffee at Lightbox Espresso & Wine Bar.

Parking sits right beside the precinct. The flat paths suit older dogs and short daily walks, and early or late in the day is kinder on the open stretches in summer.
