Curl Curl Lagoon Walk

The Curl Curl Lagoon Walk follows a restored wetland just back from the beach in North Curl Curl. It mixes an on-lead path with two big off-leash reserves, so you can walk and let your dog run on the same outing.

Leads and the off-leash areas

Northern Beaches Council allows dogs off lead at Adams Street Reserve and at Flora and Ritchie Roberts Reserve, both open 24 hours. Along the rest of the lagoon, dogs stay on lead to protect the birdlife.

The walk

The track is well formed with no steps, and part of it is wheelchair friendly from the main car park. You walk past marsh corridors and lagoon water full of birds, only a short way from the ocean.

Mature trees shade parts of the path. There are drinking taps and toilets at Adams Street Reserve, bins along the way, and parking beside both reserves.

Pepsi: Dogs may wade at signed spots on the southern side of the lagoon, which makes a good cool-off after a run.

The flat track suits most dogs. The off-leash reserves are social spots, so a sociable dog will enjoy it most.
