Northlakes Estate Park

Northlakes Estate Park on Northlakes Drive is the green heart of this Cameron Park estate, with shared paths running off it through the neighbourhood. It is an easy on-lead stroll rather than a bush walk.

The walk

Loop the park on its paved paths, then follow the estate's shared paths past planted verges, tidy streetscapes and new homes. Make it as short or as long as your dog likes.

Lead rules

Lake Macquarie City Council requires dogs on lead in parks and along shared paths, except in signed off-leash areas, and there is none here. Dogs are also not allowed within 10 metres of the playground, so give it a wide berth.

Max: The playground is the busy corner. Swing wide of it and keep the lead short when kids are about.
