Brewers Road Park Trail

A short all-abilities track follows Plane Creek through the reserve behind the Sarina Leagues Club. Brewers Road Park Trail is quiet, smooth underfoot and strictly for dogs on a lead.

Lead rules

Mackay Regional Council requires dogs on a lead in all public parks unless they are inside a signed off-leash dog park. This reserve is not one, so the lead stays on.

The walk

The path mixes composite decking, mesh boardwalk and concrete as it winds beside the creek and its natural vegetation. It is a calm, low-traffic spot, and locals come for the birdlife.

Mature trees shade the grassy edges. There are no dog water stations and few bins, so pack water and carry your bags out.

Getting started

The reserve is at 2 Broad Street, opposite the Sarina Field of Dreams parklands. Free kerbside parking is close by.

Make a day of it

For a run off lead, head to Apex Park Off-Leash Dog Park. Afterwards, the Tandara Hotel is in town.

The smooth, level surface suits older dogs and anyone using a pram or wheelchair. Go early in the day for the coolest air by the creek.
