The walk
The track is natural and unsealed, following the riverbank past mature trees and open grassy pockets. Those trees give decent natural shade.

There is parking on site. Water and dog-waste stations are not confirmed, so bring water and bags with you.
Make a day of it
Wellya Park has a designated off-leash area on the estuary if your dog needs a run, and Pelican's Cafe is close by for a coffee.
Mornings and evenings are the pick for a calm river and cooler ground. The gentle, shaded walk suits older dogs and anyone after a slow, sniff-heavy stroll.
