Redcliff Campsite

Redcliff Campsite is a low-key camping and caravan operation on Trinity Haven Road, on the coastline north of Tumby Bay proper, and its published rules are the simple kind campers like: dogs are allowed, kept on a leash at all times, with owners cleaning up and removing all pet waste. Pets are permitted subject to campsite rules and local regulations, which is the standard framework rather than a list of exclusions.

What you are choosing here is the quiet end of the Eyre Peninsula. Trinity Haven Road runs out to coastal scrub and beach accesses well away from town traffic, so the nights are dark, the mornings are birdsong, and a leashed dawn walk along the water is the main event. If Tumby Bay's town foreshore is the social version of this coast, Redcliff is the version where you hear the surf instead of the traffic.

Dogs at the campsite

The leash requirement applies across the site, so bring a long lead if your dog benefits from a bit of slack around camp, and come prepared to carry out waste as the rules require. Coastal camping with a dog works best with a routine: morning walk before the wind comes up, a shaded spot at camp through the middle of the day, and the beach in the evening when the light goes gold.
