The big open grassed areas give dogs room for on-leash walks without leaving the property.

Getting out with the dog

Wentworth Shire Council designates no off-leash areas, so plan on the lead the whole time. The riverbank tracks directly opposite the park, about 500 metres away with a boat ramp, are the immediate walk, and Thegoa Lagoon reserve near Lock 10 takes leashed pets on its waterside tracks. Into Wentworth itself, the Murray and Darling junction reserves are all on-leash walking.
