What it is. The Deli on Kinghorne is a busy deli-style cafe on Kinghorne Street in the middle of Nowra, doing breakfast and lunch. Leashed dogs are welcome in the undercover footpath seating out front.

The setup. The outdoor tables sit on the footpath under a large awning with cafe umbrellas, so you get shade and cover from a passing shower. Staff are known to be good with dogs and will bring a water bowl.

Known for. High-quality breakfast and lunch and some of the better coffee in town. It runs at a busy hustle, so expect a bit of foot traffic past your table at peak times.

Getting there. Street parking runs along Kinghorne Street but fills quickly; nearby side streets and central Nowra car parks are the fallback.

Nearby. Harry Sawkins Park is close by for a walk, and the Shoalhaven riverfront paths are a short drive for a longer leashed stretch.
