The Yorkie Rippa is an English-inspired eatery on Chairlift Avenue in the Nobby Beach pocket of Mermaid Beach, built around Yorkshire pudding wraps and slow-cooked roasts. It is a compact, casual spot, and the footpath seating out front is where you and your dog fit in.

The dog setup. The outdoor footpath tables are the dog-friendly area, giving your dog a spot to watch the street while you eat. Indoors is kept for people given the small dining room, so plan to sit outside. Staff are welcoming to dogs and will usually bring water on request.

Known for. Yorkie wraps baked on-site daily and stuffed with fillings like slow-cooked rosemary brisket, hearty Sunday roasts, and a genuinely unusual concept for the Gold Coast.

Getting there. Find it at Shop 8, 28 Chairlift Avenue, in the Nobby Beach dining precinct. Street parking runs along Chairlift Avenue and nearby streets and gets busy at peak times, so arrive early or walk in from a block back.

Nearby with the dog. The beach is only a few blocks away for a stroll, and the Nobby Beach precinct has other dog-friendly outdoor tables for a coffee afterwards. For a proper off-leash run, Palm Beach dog beach is a short drive south.

Best for a casual lunch or early dinner after a beach walk. Good for owners who want something different from the usual brunch plate.
