Noodledoof Brewing & Distilling Co.

Noodledoof Brewing and Distilling Co. is a family-run brewery and distillery working out of a converted motor garage at 128 Commercial Road, in the middle of Koroit's main street. It pours small-batch, seasonal craft beers and distills spirits with native botanicals, and it is a genuinely dog and kid friendly stop for the town.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating and beer garden areas, kept on a lead. The relaxed outdoor spaces make it an easy stop after a walk or a trip out to Tower Hill. Water bowls are typically available or easy to request, but the reliable move is to pack a travel bowl, particularly on warm weekends when the garden fills up. Keep your dog settled around other patrons; live music nights draw a bigger, louder crowd than a weekday session.

The brewing side runs small-batch and seasonal, while the still turns out gins and vodkas built on native botanicals sourced through Worn Gundidj Bush Foods. The lineup has included a Davidson plum gin and a Koroit potato vodka, a nod to the district's spud country. There is a food menu of loaded snacks to match, and the venue is wheelchair accessible with free street parking along Commercial Road.

Getting there and parking

Koroit sits about 20 minutes north-east of Warrnambool on the road to Port Fairy. The venue opens from 10am most days, with late Friday trade, so an afternoon session is the comfortable slot for a dog that has not done a pub crowd before.

For leg-stretching nearby, Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve just south of town has leashed walking trails through the old volcano crater, and the Koroit Railway Walk is a leafy option closer to the centre. Back in town you can pair it with the beer garden at Duke's Commercial Hotel, an overnight pitch at Tower Hill Caravan Park, or a run around Koroit Dog Park.
