OOSHMAN Dickson

OOSHMAN is a casual Lebanese-style eatery on the Dickson dining strip at G7/6 Cape Street, and like most of the precinct it takes dogs at the outdoor footpath tables rather than inside. It is a straightforward stop for a quick, fresh feed while you are out with the dog around the Dickson shops: freshly baked manoosh and wraps, crunchy zaatar fries, Lebo fries and deluxe garlic bread.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the open-air footpath seating out the front, not the main dining room. Under the national food standards that apply in the ACT, dogs are permitted in unenclosed outdoor dining at the operator's discretion, so a quick check with staff on arrival is worth it if the frontage is partly closed in. A water bowl is not guaranteed, so bring your own, keep the lead short in the foot traffic, and give other diners a wide berth on the shared footpath.

Hours run from 10am to 10:30pm Sunday to Thursday, stretching to 11:30pm Friday and Saturday, so it covers everything from a lunch wrap to a late dinner. The menu leans to fresh, casual plates: the Garlic Goddess and Flaming Peri Peri wraps are the standouts in local reviews, and the chicken and chips box covers the simple end. Come outside the busy lunch window for a calmer footpath table.

Getting there and parking

The shop sits in the Dickson shopping precinct, an easy walk from the Dickson Interchange for light rail and bus arrivals. Public car parks surround the precinct; check signage for time limits.
