Webb Park Fenced Dog Park

Webb Park is a fully fenced off-leash dog park in West Gladstone, off Palm Drive and Hetherington Street, with separate enclosed yards for small and large dogs. For the Gladstone region it is one of the more social off-leash options, and the fencing makes it work for dogs that cannot be trusted in open reserves.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on-lead until you are through the double-gated entrance, in line with Gladstone Regional Council's rules for dogs in public places. Once inside the enclosure they run off-leash under effective voice control, with registration and up-to-date vaccinations expected.

Inside there are play and agility obstacles, a water station and a wash-down area, plus shaded seating for owners. Bag dispensers and bins are on site, though carrying your own spares is never wasted.

Worth knowing

The small and large dog split is the real feature here, so a nervous small dog does not have to share space with the big runners. The park is open 24 hours, and on-street parking sits near the entrance.

Max: watch the double-gate on the way in, some dogs try to duck through the first gate before the second one shuts. Keep a hand on the leash until both gates are closed.

Getting there and parking

The park sits off Palm Drive and Hetherington Street in West Gladstone with on-street parking at the gate. Sunbus services run along the Dawson Highway if you are without a car, but check the current timetable for the closest stop.

Close by with the dogs

If you are visiting from out of town, Suncourt Motor Inn is a nearby base and the Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel sits in the city centre; confirm pet policies directly when booking either.

Weekday mornings and evenings are the quiet window, while Friday and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowd. Aim either side of that if your dog is nervous around groups.
