Spring Gully Oval Dog Off Leash Area is an open, expansive off-leash exercise space at 133-135 Spring Gully Road in Spring Gully, near Bendigo. Surrounded by native vegetation and close to creek reserves, it suits active dogs that need room to run, fetch, and socialise.

The rules. Dogs may be off-leash on the oval only when under effective voice control. Keep your dog leashed within 10 metres of playground equipment, BBQ areas, and during organised sporting events. Pick up all dog waste, with bins generally provided on-site. Dogs must be registered and meet all City of Greater Bendigo pet bylaws.

The oval isn't fully fenced, so only let your dog off if their recall is solid. The open boundary means a dog without a reliable recall can reach Spring Gully Road quickly.

What's there. The main oval is not fully fenced, so reliable recall matters. You get broad green space, nearby seating, and easy access to walking tracks, with creek reserves close by. Street parking runs along Spring Gully Road, and free, unstructured parking sits right beside the oval.

Getting there. From Bendigo centre, take McIvor Rd or Spring Gully Rd directly to the oval. The Route 52 bus services the area along Spring Gully Road if you prefer to leave the car at home.

Nearby with the dogs. For a post-walk coffee or an overnight stay, check out Madame Jude in Golden Square, The Golden Bean in Bendigo, or Elm Motel for pet-friendly accommodation.

Weekday middays between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm are the quietest stretch. Weekend mornings and late weekday afternoons draw the biggest crowds, so plan around those if your dog prefers a calmer run. Check the council website before travelling in case an event is booked at the oval.
