Goodna Park Fenced Dog Park

Goodna Park Fenced Dog Park is Ipswich City Council's official off-leash area at 62 Brisbane Terrace, a fully fenced space with a double-gated entry that makes it one of the more secure options in the corridor between Brisbane and Ipswich for dogs that bolt at open gates.

The dog setup

Large open grass gives dogs room to actually run, with shaded seating and trees for owners waiting out the heat, drinking water for dogs and humans, and waste bins through the park. There is no separate small-dog area confirmed, so this is a shared space for all sizes, which means sociable dogs do best here. Use the double-gated entry properly: close the first gate before opening the second, and keep a leash on hand at all times as the council's owner obligations require. If your dog gets rough with others, you are expected to step in and remove them.

The ground can turn muddy or worn after rain, worth remembering before you commit to light-coloured upholstery on the drive home. The park sits on Brisbane Terrace, the main thoroughfare through Goodna, with free parking nearby. Goodna train station is a five to ten minute walk away, so it is one of the few dog parks in the area that works without a car.
