Nearby with the dogs. Forest Hill itself is mostly residential, so plan a wider loop into Wagga Wagga for a coffee stop or a pet-friendly stay. Wagga Wagga Tourist Park, also in Forest Hill, takes dogs in select cabins and on powered and unpowered sites if you are staying over. When to go. Weekday mornings from 7 to 9am and the 4.30 to 6pm afternoon rush are the busiest stretches as locals fit in a walk around work. For a quiet, near-empty park, aim for the 11am to 2pm window on a weekday, or a Sunday afternoon if weekend mornings feel too social for a nervous dog.
