Teralba Park Fenced Dog Park

Teralba Park's fenced dog area sits alongside the Kedron Brook Bikeway in Everton Park, on Brisbane's northwest side. It is an everyday off-leash option rather than a destination park, open 24 hours, shaded by mature trees and lit at night, with separate fenced zones for large and small dogs so smaller or nervous breeds get their own space.

The dog setup

Both size zones are fully fenced, and the standard Brisbane City Council rules apply: stay inside the zone that matches your dog's size, keep it under voice control and within sight, and leash up before passing through the gates. Dogs are not permitted in the adjoining children's playground. Bins are usually stocked with waste bags, but carry your own as backup and clean up on the spot.

The vibe

The regulars describe a friendly, secluded-feeling spot with shady trees and plenty of seating. There is a basic agility course, water fountains for dogs and people, and lighting that makes evening visits work year round. The wider Teralba Park adds free electric barbecues and picnic shelters if you want to stretch the visit into an afternoon, and the Kedron Brook runs alongside, though there is no formal fenced water access, so treat any creek dip as informal and keep an eye on your dog.

Getting there and parking

The fenced area is off Corinth Street within Teralba Park, with the wider reserve reached from Pullen Road via Stafford Road or South Pine Road. Free off-street parking is on hand. Brisbane City Council buses run along Pullen Road and South Pine Road near Brookside Shopping Centre, and the Kedron Brook Bikeway gives a car-free walking or riding approach.

While you're out there
