Annies Landing Fenced Dog Park sits on Everingham Drive in Ellenbrook, and its draw is the built-in agility course inside a fully fenced, single enclosure. If your dog likes hurdles, an A-frame, tunnels and weave poles, this is the local park worth the trip.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fence but must be leashed the moment you step outside the perimeter. There is no separate small-dog pen, so all sizes share the one space and owners are expected to supervise closely. Pick up after your dog, and remove any dog showing aggression from the enclosure straight away.

What's there. A double-gated airlock entry reduces the chance of an escape at the gate. Inside you get the agility equipment, dog-height water fountains, shaded benches for owners and waste bins on site. The surface is turfed and open.

Getting there. It is on Everingham Drive with street parking nearby, which can fill during peak times. Transperth bus routes run through Ellenbrook reasonably close to the Annies Landing estate; use the Transperth JourneyPlanner to sort your route.

The turf heats up under the WA sun, so the fountains are handy but the pressure can drop. Pack a backup bottle and bowl and come in the cooler hours.

When to go. Busiest early mornings before work and after 4pm, especially on weekends. For a reactive or anxious dog, aim for the quieter window between 11am and 2pm.
