Regulars describe it as a clean, welcoming stop rather than just another roadhouse, and it has the opening hours to match its trade: Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 2pm, closed Monday to Wednesday.

Getting there

It sits on Sydney Street, a short detour off the Hume Highway, with a small parking area right outside and flat access for a quick leg stretch. If you arrive on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, you will find it shut like most of the village, so plan the stop for later in the week.

Close by with the dogs

Tarcutta's quiet streets and the green space near the creek are an easy walk from the cafe if your dog needs a proper break rather than a footpath stop.
