Two Fives is a busy all-day cafe on Gardeners Road, and one of Rosebery's more reliably dog-welcoming brunch spots. The reason to bring your dog: the outdoor tables are roomy, sunny, and staff are used to four-legged regulars.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating out front, where there is space between tables for a dog of any size to settle. Indoor seating is not set up for dogs, so plan on an outside table. Water bowls are generally provided, and the team has a reputation for looking after visiting dogs.

Good to know. The kitchen is known for solid brunch and coffee, with regulars rating the flat white, banana bread and the crispy chicken sandwich. On some days there is a short dog menu with a treat or two, though this comes and goes, so do not count on it.

Getting there. The cafe sits at 355 Gardeners Road with some on-site parking plus street parking nearby, which fills fast during weekend brunch. Buses run along Gardeners Road if you would rather not drive.

Nearby with the dogs. The Cannery precinct is a short walk away for more dog-friendly tables, and Sweetacres Park and Tarakan Reserve are both close by for an off-leash run before or after coffee.

Weekday mornings are the calm window; weekends get loud and tables turn over quickly, so an early arrival gets you the shady spot.
