Humblebee Coffee

Humblebee Coffee is a small specialty roaster on Coogee Street in Mount Hawthorn, a step off the main strip, with dogs welcome at the outdoor tables.

The setup. Dogs sit with you at the outdoor seating, on lead, and staff will generally put a water bowl down if you ask. It is a tight, intimate space, better suited to one dog than a group, and mornings get busy with regulars walking their dogs in for a coffee.

Known for. In-house roasted specialty coffee and a short, well-made food list of pastries. Saturday mornings are the peak, when the footpath fills with dog owners.

Getting there. It is on Coogee Street just off Scarborough Beach Road, with free street parking on Coogee Street and the surrounding residential streets.

Nearby with the dogs. Braithwaite Park is a few minutes' walk for a run before or after your coffee, and the rest of the Mount Hawthorn strip is close enough to combine into a longer walk.

Go on a weekday morning if you want space at the outdoor tables. Weekend mornings are the social peak, great for a social dog, tighter if yours needs room.
