Cottage cafe (cc’s)

Cottage Cafe (cc's) is a family-run cafe in the Mantra building on the Mooloolaba Esplanade, blending a homestyle kitchen with a small crystal and gift shop. It is an affordable, early-opening stop where the dog is genuinely part of the plan, not an afterthought at a distant table.

The dog setup

Dogs take the shaded outdoor tables right by the entrance. They stay outside the cafe doors, but the position means you are never far away and the staff keep an eye out. There is a dedicated dog menu with treats like a puppuccino, so your dog orders too. Water is available outside on request.

The vibe

A mother-and-daughter team runs the kitchen, which leans into English classics, homemade cakes and pastries, with a solid range of gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. It is a relaxed, family-friendly room with a kids menu and a welcoming streak that shows up in every review. It opens early, 6am on weekends and 6:30am on weekdays, and closes mid-afternoon, with Mondays finishing at noon.

Pepsi: come early. The outdoor tables fill with prams and dogs by mid-morning on weekends, and the under-cover parking below the building is the easiest bet in a street where kerbside spots vanish.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on the Esplanade at the Mantra building, central Mooloolaba. Free parking is available underneath the building, which saves the usual beachside hunt, and the esplanade is flat and easy with a dog on lead.

While you're out there

The Alex Head to Mooloolaba foreshore boardwalk starts nearby for a leashed stroll after breakfast, and Backstreet Cafe is the other Mooloolaba coffee stop worth a turn on a second morning.
