Everyday Drive Thru at 48 George Street, Moe, is a locally owned cafe built around the car, and it is one of the friendliest stops in the Latrobe Valley for drivers with a dog aboard. Order from the window without unclipping anyone, and ask about the pup cups the cafe has become known for. It holds a perfect rating from regulars who rave about the coffee and the speed of service.

The dog setup

The drive-thru lane is the whole point: your dog stays in the car, you order at the window, and staff are known to hand out pup cups for canine passengers. Walk-up service works too if you are passing on foot, but this is a grab-and-go operation rather than a sit-down cafe, so plan the proper walk for afterwards.

Worth knowing

The menu is fast, fresh and well regarded: barista coffee, iced drinks and chai, egg and bacon rolls, toasties, and baked treats such as cinnamon scrolls and cookies. Hours run 5am to 3pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on weekends, so it suits an early start. The cafe leans into community days as well, having handed out free pup cups at its anniversary celebrations alongside a local dog wash.

Getting there and parking

George Street is a main road through Moe with a clearly marked drive-thru lane, easy to enter from either direction. Free street parking nearby covers you if you want to walk up to the window instead.

Close by with the dogs

Moe Botanical Gardens is a short drive away and welcomes dogs on a lead along its walking tracks, and Joe Tabuteau Reserve in Newborough gives you a big open oval for a proper run.
