Didi´s Coffee Haus

Didi's Coffee Haus is a small, well-liked coffee stop at 1 Maleny Street in the Landsborough township, an easy pause on the way into or out of the Glass House Mountains and the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Dogs are welcome at the street-side seating, which makes it a natural coffee break folded into a walk around town rather than a destination lunch.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating out the front, on the footpath and the public benches beside the shop, and there is no indoor access, so plan on an outside table. Staff are used to dogs and will usually sort out a water bowl, but it is worth carrying your own portable bowl to be safe. The footpath table setup means a settled, leash-tied dog is the order of the day.

Coffee and treats

The draw here is the coffee and the house-made sweets, with banana bread, slices, protein balls, acai bowls and cheesecake among the regulars, plus Reubens and fresh sandwiches for something more substantial. Reviews lean on the relaxed, friendly feel rather than a big menu, so treat it as a quick-stop cafe. Hours are 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, 6am to 1pm Saturday, closed Sundays.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits centrally in the Landsborough township with free street parking along the main street, a short drive off Steve Irwin Way and the Bruce Highway, and within walking distance of the train station and town centre.

Nearby with the dogs

For a proper run before or after coffee, the Pioneer Park Fenced Dog Park on Caloundra Street is fully fenced with separate areas for large and small dogs plus agility equipment. For a longer on-lead outing, the Ewen Maddock Dam Main Track is a few minutes away, where dogs are welcome on the trails but must stay leashed and out of the water, with a maximum of two dogs per handler.
